The kind of work I do is highly tailored to each individual. For all my patients, I offer a calm, grounded, and fierce presence as I engage with you in a way that will be unique for us. I do both short-term symptom reduction and long-term transformational and liberatory work. Sometimes the work is building new skills, sometimes the work is uncovering lost parts of oneself, sometimes it is exploratory and a process of discovery. My core orientation is psychodynamic, phenomenological, depth-oriented, and relational, which means that I am attending to what is happening in the here-and-now, both inside and outside of awareness. Additionally, we might make use of the way that you and I relate in the therapy space as a way to understand how you relate to others out in your normal life.
